Abbie Chatfield shares why she's voting 'Yes' in the Voice referendum
The reality star told fans she's spent the last few months researching how First Nations people will vote.
Abbie Chatfield has taken to Instagram to share with followers why she's voted 'yes' in the Voice to Parliament referendum.
The reality star uploaded an Instagram Story detailing what led her to her decision, telling fans she's spent the last year or so looking into how First Nations people will be voting by speaking to friends, looking at polls, watching debates and actively searching for 'varied Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices on social'.
Abbie also stated she doesn't believe it's 'her place' as a white person to prioritise her own opinions over Indigenous voices, so she felt it would be best that she shared resources with information about how the affected groups will feel.

Brooke Blurton casts 'Yes' vote
Former Bachelorette Brooke Blurton also uploaded an Instagram story showing her 'Yes' vote. The proud Noongar-Yamatji youth worker and mental health advocate has been vocal on her platforms for months, advocating for the 'Yes' campaign. Earlier this year, she told the Sydney Morning Herald that the Voice "will determine a lot".
"A 'yes' vote would mean that change is happening. A 'no' vote will be reflective of the racism in our country and how we treat First Nations people," Brooke said.
Jason Momoa throws support behind 'Yes' campaign
It's not just Aussie celebs speaking out about the weekend's referendum either — last week, Hollywood actor Jason Momoa shared a viral Yes campaign video to his Instagram feed that he reposted from director Taika Waititi.
