Concern for Aaron Carter after bizarre social media post

Singer Aaron Carter has sparked concern after he shared a photo of himself with a new face tattoo.

The ink covers one entire side of his face and, along with caption he wrote beside it, had a number of his fans hoping that he is taking care of himself.

“IM THE BIGGEST THING IN MUSIC RIGHT NOW. I CANT BE DENIED. FACT CHECK ME,” Aaron said.

“Please get help,” “Is everything ok? I feel like he is showing some bizarre behaviour,” and “dude please get help,” were some of the comments left by fans.

“This dude needs help. A grown man that weighs less than 120 lbs getting face tattoos and making up lies about him being the hottest thing in music. What music?” a fourth person said.

Aaron later shared a short clip of himself from his 2005 movie Supercross, with the caption, “How are you? Me: I don’t even have to respond”.

Restraining order taken out

It comes after a tumultuous month for Aaron that saw his Backstreet Boys star brother Nick Carter take a restraining order out against him after allegations he threatened to kill Nick's pregnant wife.

Aaron denied the allegations on Twitter, saying, “I have never had thoughts of causing anyone pain, let alone taking anyone's life.”

“It was hurtful for me to read those things because if these people really knew me, they would have never used that as a tactic to control me.”

Multiple-personality disorder diagnosis

Just days before that, Aaron appeared on US show The Doctors where he spoke openly about his mental health.

“The official diagnosis is that I suffer from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety; I’m manic depressive,” he said.

“I’m prescribed to Xanax, Seroquel, gabapentin, hydroxyzine, trazodone, omeprazole.”
