Gigi Hadid can't stand shopping

Gigi Hadid hates trying on clothes whilst shopping.

The 21-year-old model admits she cannot stand waiting in long queues to try an outfit on at a store and would rather just purchase the item and try it on at home.

She said: "Honestly, I'm not a big shopper. I guess it's because it's my job to try things on. I love window shopping and I love shopping without having to go to the dressing room or take what I'm wearing off.

"That's why I love glasses and bags. I buy a lot of [those], because I don't try them on. Like, Topshop [dressing room] lines are not even funny. I'd much rather go into Topshop [and buy something], go home, try it on, and then return it than stand in line for three hours."

Despite not being a "big shopper", Gigi - who is dating Zayn Malik - is looking forward to launching her own line with Tommy Hilfiger.

She added: "I have so much respect for the artists and the designers that I work with on a daily basis. Going into this, I'm not trying to be known as this big designer. I just wanted to make clothes that I want to wear, that I think the people that follow me want to wear, and that Tommy fans want to wear. That was my role in it.

"I grew up doing art and I love drawing and painting. This was a way to take my love for fashion, my love for art, and my love for Tommy as a brand [and make it] into something. It made a lot of sense and I'm really excited for people to wear it."

Meanwhile, Gigi also revealed she gets inspiration from living in New York.

She told Refinery29: "Living in New York is great inspiration; everyone here is very real in the way they dress. Even though we have great style in New York, everyone still thinks about having to walk down the street and having to go from work straight to drinks - it just makes more sense.

"That's what I've always connected with, even when I didn't live in New York. I didn't want to be uncomfortable in what I was wearing. I always want to be comfortable and still look good."
