The $5 Target Kitchen Organizer I Only Wish I Had Bought Sooner

It’s been a total game changer.

My kitchen storage situation is awkward. I live in a big house, and the kitchen looks good on the surface. But once you start working in it, it quickly becomes clear that it was designed by someone who didn't cook a lot.

For a long time, we stored household essentials like aluminum foil, plastic wrap, zip-top bags, etc., in a bin on a shelf in the dining room. It was hugely inconvenient, to say the least. Not only did I have to walk out of the kitchen to get what I needed, but for years, it was a daily (often multiple times a day) irritation to pull out the bin and dig through the jumble to find what I needed.

And you already know my parchment paper struggles! That all changed two years ago when I bought a bamboo organizer for my kitchen wraps and rolls. When I say it changed the game, I genuinely mean it. At long last, everything was in one spot, in its designated section, and was compact enough to (gasp!) keep in my kitchen.

So when I spotted a similar Ziplock Bag Organizer for $5 in the Target Dollar Spot section, I knew it was the finishing touch I'd been waiting for.

I know you've seen everyone and their dog using them on social media, but it's for good reason. First off, they're just so darn pretty! I'm a sucker for beautiful-looking, aesthetically pleasing products–good branding always gets me! And the sleek bamboo design, with its smooth finish and simplified labeling, looks great on a counter or tucked neatly in a drawer.

But unlike my kitchen, it offers more than just good looks. It's legitimately functional. With separate compartments for different-sized bags, everything has its rightful place. No more hunting or ugly mismatched boxes getting damaged, dented, and looking terrible! I can easily see and grab whatever I need.

Sandwich, quart, snack, and gallon bags are labeled and easily accessible. I also wash and reuse my bags many times and have found that stuffing clean, dry bags back into their rightful slots is also easy.

What sold me, though, is the compact design. Measuring 11.81 inches in width and depth and 2.75 inches in height, it holds a ton but has a relatively small footprint. The compartments fit standard bag dimensions perfectly. So, instead of having a million mixed-up, wildly colorful boxes, those unsightly cardboard containers are replaced by this sleek organizer.

Seriously, why did I wait so long for this drawer-decluttering life-changer? I only wish I'd picked it up when I bought the roll organizer. On the other hand, for $5, there's a convincing argument that the wait was worth it. If you relate to my struggle, head to Target to snag this organizer before they run out. I know their Dollar Spots can vary in selection, so it's worth checking out a few until you find one. In the meantime, I’m sending you all the lucky Target shopping vibes!
