The deadline for TikTok to be sold is fast approaching -- if the social media app owned by ByteDance isn't sold by January 19, it's going to be shut down by the United States government.

So there's a lot of speculation over who could do it. Mr. Beast? Elon Musk?

No. We here at For The Win think it needs to be a sports team owner, because ... well, I don't know, they know how to run stuff. And it's not just any sports team owner. We need the ones who will get it and not run TikTok into the ground.

Here are five candidates:

1. Steve Balmer

Dude clearly knows what fans want as evidenced by the cool stuff at the Intuit Dome. Plus, he's a former Microsoft exec! Perfect for a tech product!

2. Steve Cohen

He just shelled out $765 million for Juan Soto. He can afford TikTok.

3. Mark Cuban

It's almost too obvious. He also came from the tech world.

4. Magic Johnson

He owns, like, everything. Why not TikTok? Also, the man is a Twitter legend, so this would be perfect.

5. Tom Brady

He is an NFL owner! And we know how good he is on social media!
