With the end of 2024 comes the end of a year of music that will surely leave a long-lasting impression.
Last year gave music enthusiasts Charli XCX's "Brat" summer, Shaboozey's country hit "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and Chappell Roan's breakthrough into stardom. And while 2025 promises new albums from names like Ringo Starr and The Weeknd, the industry isn't done celebrating last year.
In one month, the Recording Academy will hold the annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, awarding several prizes from song of the year to best new artist.
The nominees for the prestigious album of the year include an diverse slate of talent including André 3000 and Jacob Collier competing against pop music breakouts Sabrina Carpenter and Roan. The category also features big names from the award's most decorated artist, Beyoncé, to four-time AOTY winner Taylor Swift.
