A striking two-story abode, a rare contemporary amid a neighborhood of stately traditional homes, is poised to break records in Fort Worth, Texas.
The home is set on over an acre in the Riverhills enclave within the Edwards Ranch development that sprawls over 850 acres of what was once a 7,000-acre family cattle ranch. Local development company The Construction Group built the wood, stone, and glass home on a parcel bought by an investor in 2018. Now listed for $16.9 million, it is the most expensive house currently on the market in Fort Worth and could shatter the city’s sales record if sold anywhere near the asking price. A composition of wood panels, stone, and steel framing faces the street from the hillside home’s facade, which stylishly blends into lush landscaping and panoramic vistas seen from the gated driveway. Inside, the four-bedroom mansion spreads out across nearly 8,000 square feet of living space with sleek features. The asking price for the Riverhills home is $5 million more than the city’s second most expensive listing, a Colonial-style mansion in the nearby Ridgelea neighborhood, and its sale for $17 million, or anywhere close, would top any residential transaction ever recorded in the local Multiple Service Listing (MLS), according to Mansion Global.
