'1000-Lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Makes a Vulnerable Confession After Losing 500 Pounds

Ahead of the new season of the hit reality TV series 1000-Lb Sisters, series star Tammy Slaton made a personal confession in a new preview for the show.

Tammy opened up about a struggle she's facing after losing over 500 points, saying in a confessional clip, via the Daily Mail, "With all the excess skin, I'm still insecure about myself and I want to feel beautiful."

The reality star and her sister, Amy Slaton, headed to a salon for a beauty makeover, with Tammy adding in the confessional, "Getting a makeover for me is very important because I've come so far with my weight loss."

Tammy extended the same honesty to a hairdresser at the salon, replying to a question about why they were visiting with, "Just something new. A new life, a new body, a whole new look."

The 38-year-old's insecurity regarding her excess skin will be further discussed in 1000-Lb Sisters' upcoming season, with a preview for the new episodes teasing Tammy's meetings with her doctor to try to get the skin removed.

At one point in the clip, her doctor told her, "You've got head-to-toe loose skin. It's going to take several operations and several healing phases."

Tammy shared more worries about the situation in another confessional, saying to the camera, "I'm afraid that I won't get approved for skin removal."

The new season of 1000-Lb Sisters premieres on TLC on Oct. 8. Fans will have to watch the new episodes to see if Tammy can undergo the surgeries she hopes for.
