Mark Zuckerberg Meets Jesse Eisenberg on Saturday Night Live

Jesse Eisenberg portrayed Mark Zuckenberg on The Social Network

Confirming the buzz that had been building since last week, Mark Zuckerberg appeared on Saturday Night Live, meeting for the first time Oscar-nominated Jesse Eisenberg, who portrayed him in the film about Facebook, The Social Network.

During Eisenberg's opening monologue, SNL standout Andy Samberg came onstage wearing Zuckerberg's trademark hoodie and a curly-haired wig.

Cameras then cut to the Facebook founder backstage with Executive Producer Lorne Michaels. "Why can't I go in there? I'm the real Mark Zuckerberg!" he asked. "Come on. I invented Poking!"

Michaels replied: "Yeah, and I'm pretty sure at least one of those guys is the real Mark Zuckerberg. You're better off backstage."

But soon all three "Zuckerbergs" were together in front of the cheering audience. "Wait. Have you two not met?" asked Samberg. "Awkward!"

Eisenberg, who is nominated for a best actor Oscar for his portrayal of the tech billionaire, then asked, "Did you ever end up seeing the film ... What did you think?"

Replied Zuckerberg, "It was interesting."

It will only get more so if the eight-times nominated film sweeps the Oscars February 27.
