Toni Collette will soon have another new face in her own household.

The actress, who stars as a mum with multiple personality disorder in Showtime's The United States of Tara, and her husband, musician Dave Galafassi, "are very happy to be expecting our second child together," the couple tell WHO exclusively.

Galafassi and Collette are already parents to daughter Sage Florence, 2½.

The pair were wed in a Buddhist ceremony near Sydney, Australian media reported Sunday. Some 100 guests gathered at the bride's 25-acre rural retreat for a ceremony presided over by Buddhist monks. The wedding also included a vegetarian banquet and a dazzling fireworks display.

Professionally, Collette has played a mum in everything from About a Boy to Little Miss Sunshine, but it was her breakthrough role in Muriel's Wedding that won the hearts of her fellow Australians. Collette's comic yet touching performance earned her not only Australia's Oscar for best actress and a 15-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival, but also expressions of gratitude from hundreds of fans of both sexes, who have approached Collette to say, essentially, that not only was she Muriel but they were too.

Growing up in the Sydney suburbs, the eldest of three children of truck driver Bob Collette and his wife, Judy, a customer service representative, Collette, like Muriel, connected with the sounds of the '70s pop group ABBA. "She was shy," recalls her father, "but she could blow you away with her singing."

After beating out thousands for the lead in an Australian bicentennial musical, she told her parents she was leaving school at 16 to act. "She's a very determined young woman," says her father. "Strong-willed and pigheaded" is how Collette describes herself.

Collette, 37, is due in autumn.
