Former Glee cast member Dianna Agron was not invited to appear on the show’s tribute episode for the Cory Monteith, RadarOnline.com reports.

According to a "high-level source" on the hit show, other cast members who were not contracted for the current season came back to appear on the tribute episode, but not Agron, as several "co-stars and even the co-creator of the show just don’t like her."

“It’s shocking, because even though she’s not contracted for this season, many other actors returned to pay tribute to Cory…even ones with less of a story connection to Finn than Diana had!” the source told Radar Online.

The insider reveals that Monteith’s girlfriend, Lea Michele, and co-creator, Ryan Murphy, ”intensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalise her as much as possible.”

“They never saw her as a team player,” the insider added. “They simply did not want her sharing the glory for this very special episode.”

Monteith, 31, was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on July 13 and it was later determined through an official coroner’s report that the Canadian actor died of “combined heroin and alcohol toxicity.”

According to the show's creator, Ryan Murphy, the episode, titled simply "The Quarterback," is filled with real emotion.

"Almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance, because the actors and the crew had a really hard time shooting it," Murphy told The Wrap recently.

"I've never seen a crew where you can't continue shooting because they left the room sobbing."

"It was very hard, and I struggled even working on it, because you're seeing what they felt about not just Finn [Hudson, Monteith's character], but Cory. So I think it's amazing performances across the board, and everybody went into it with a lot of love."

Murphy also noted that the experience was "very rough" for Michele, who was Monteith's girlfriend both on and off-screen. "People are still not over it," he said of the 31-year-old actor's July 13 death of heroin and alcohol toxicity. "It's still very, very difficult."
