Ambassador Jolie? Senator Jolie? President Jolie? Don't count it out, because she's not – though Angelina Jolie does admit to being conflicted about her political aspirations.

"When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility," she tells Vanity Fair when asked about seeking office one day in a new interview.

Yet the 39-year-old actress, who is a celebrated humanitarian, isn't sure if she could switch to politics full-time: "I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful - I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible," admits Jolie. But as for a possible future in politics, diplomacy or public service? "I am open," she says.

Elsewhere in the interview, Jolie talks about life as a newlywed with husband Brad Pitt, whom she secretly married in August.

"It does feel different," she says. "It feels nice to be husband and wife."

She also speaks about the adorable vows the couple's children wrote for their wedding day.

"They did not expect us never to fight," she says. "But they made us promise to always say sorry if we do. So they said, 'Do you?' And we said, 'We do!'"
