Courteney Cox has announced she is engaged to her boyfriend of six months, Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid.
The 50-year-old actress shared her happy news via Twitter with a picture of the happy couple and writing: "I'm engaged to him!"

The Cougar Town star and her Irish fiancé collaborated on her new film, Just Before I Go, which she directed.
"I've had a lot more support from him than him just being here tonight," Courtney told PEOPLE at the film's premiere in April.

"Snow Patrol wrote three original songs for this movie. I'm really fortunate. It's amazing, all the musical things that he brought to it", she added.
"I couldn't be happier. It really elevates the film in so many ways."

This will be Courtney's second marriage, her first being to actor David Arquette, with whom she divorced in 2013.
The couple share custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Coco.
