The real reason why Katie Holmes filed for divorce

Katie Holmes demanded divorce from Tom Cruise because he planned to send daughter Suri away to a hardcore Scientology camp, it has emerged.

The former Dawson’s Creek star was allegedly convinced that her strict Scientology husband Tom Cruise wanted to send six-year-old Suri to Sea Organisation – a boot camp style branch of the controversial religion where kids as young as five are sent for training without their parents.

Initially created at sea, the camp is used to teach the highest levels of Scientology and it is believed it was the final straw for Katie – who is frantically worried about Suri being fully indoctrinated into the shadowy religion.

Cruise is said be a huge fan of Sea Org and even held his birthday party on their mother ship The Freewinds in 2004.

According to the official Scientology website, members of Sea Org sign 'a one-billion-year pledge to symbolize their eternal commitment to the religion and it is still signed by all members today.

So according to reports, Katie, 33, felt the only way to save Suri from being shipped off to Sea Org was to file for divorce and seek sole legal custody.

Catholic raised Katie is also filing for divorce in New York so she can try and get sole custody of little Suri.

Prominent New York crisis manager who counsels celebrities on how to handle high-profile court cases, Mike Paul, said:

“Suri is at an age where she will be becoming more and more involved with the church and Katie clearly wants to make the break before her daughter is dragged into Scientology.”

RUPERT MURDOCH BLASTS SCIENTOLOGY

Rupert Murdoch launched a blistering attack on Scientology – labeling it “creepy and evil”.

The media tycoon also called the religion “threatening” and even predicted that staunch Scientology follower Tom Cruise is “number two or three”.

Murdoch, 81,Tweeted: “Watch Katie Holmes and Scientology story develop. Something creepy, maybe even evil, about these people.”

The News Corp boss also posted: “Scientology back in news. Very weird cult, but big, big money involved with Tom Cruise either number two or three in [hierarchy].”

“Since Scientology tweet hundreds of attacks. Expect they will increase and get worse and maybe threatening.

“Still stick to my story.”
