The Avengers hunk, 28, and the Spanish actress, 35, became the proud parents of new daughter India on Friday.

Hemsworth told USA Today of the couple's first child together: "We love the country and love the name."

Hemsworth and Pataky have been married since December of 2010, and the actress said in January that she was 'delighted and excited' to announce that she was pregnant.

She explained to ¡Hola! magazine: "Having the person that you love by your side, and starting a family with them, is the best thing that can happen to you in this life. You can't ask for more."

She added: "I’m only going to speak to the baby in Spanish. I already told my husband, ‘Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you’re not going to be able to understand what we say.'"

Now that they are busy caring for their new daughter, a source told Us Weekly of the couple: "She's so proud of Chris and he's proud of her. They are an adorable family already!"
