Emma Watson joined her fellow classmates at Oxford University as Johnny Depp visited to speak about his new film The Rum Diary.

The actress, 21, blended in with other students at Depp's question and answer session about his film based on a book by Hunter S. Thompson.

Watson was one of 500 students to attend the event held at the Oxford Union.

Despite her fame and fortune, she still had to vie for a ticket to the popular event.

Watson is studying at Oxford this semester and plans to return to Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island next year.

The young star had been focusing on her acting career, starring in My Week With Marilyn and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.

During the session, Depp, 48, was reportedly asked about his most enjoyable onscreen kiss, to which he replied, "Javier Bardem."

Oxford Union spokesman Mark Greaves told local paper the Oxford Times it was "a fascinating and well-received question-and-answer session".
