Easy-to-make fur throw

With just a couple of hours to spare and a little faux fur, you can create this soft and luxurious throw rug.

Faux fur comes in a wide variety of colours, qualities and textures, so shop around to find one to suit your style and back it with whatever feels comfortable.

Here we chose a shimmery satin, which not only looks good but feels silky and luxurious to the touch as well.

How to make
1. Work out the size you want your throw to be and then lay the fur and the backing fabric face to face.
2. Pin and sew all the way around, leaving an opening of about 30cm.
3. Turn the throw rug outside in, pushing and shaping the corners as you go.
4. Hand-stitch the 30cm opening closed.
5. Place throw on your bed ready for cold nights!

Faux-fur remnants can be made into fun and fabulous cushions.
