The 20 year-old appears nude in a black and white photograph emblazoned on a line of Marc Jacobs tshirts, with only the words “Protect the skin you’re in” covering her modesty.

Cyrus was evidently excited by the image, as she tweeted to her 13 million followers, "The new# marcjacobs x @MileyCyrus #protecttheskinyourein tee benefiting @NYULMC hits stores today! Who’s getting one?!?"

Jacobs, who said he chose Cyrus for the campaign because he “adores” her, tweeted back, "@Miley Cyrus we love it, thanks so much for getting naked for charity!"

Meanwhile Jacobs’ business partner, Robert Duffy, told WWD Cyrus was a long-time friend and a lot of fun to be around.

“She is talented in many mediums from music to film—she really has a very good, solid head on her shoulders,” added Duffy.

Cyrus is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to fashion, even going so far as to cut off her hair last year and bleach it blonde.

But, says Cyrus, now that she’s seen a stream of “bleached blonde pixie copycats”, it might be time to change things up again.

"Hopefully my hair grows really quick and next time you see me I'll have a pony down to my butt,” Cyrus said. “I just always want to be different. Everyone else has cut their hair to look just like me, so now I got to do something different. I don't like when you walk in and you see a bunch of other yous."
