ELLERY MBFWA 2013 Show Review
In a non-descript location in the middle of the city, Kym Ellery presented her spring/summer collection to a captivated front row audience comprising international and local VIPs.
The show began with a bang as international superstar (both on and off the runway) Hanne Gaby Odiele took to the runway in a black structured bodice and croc-leather jacket.

The rest of the models followed suit in strong, structured gowns, voluminous tops and chic coats in a mostly monochramtic palette peppered with pops of floral, gold and blue.
"The Renegade collection was born from contrasting archetypes, bandits, baddies and rebels on one-side, and nuns, missionaries and the devout on the other," said the brand. "This emerging duality blends light with dark, masculinity with femininity and recklessness with control."
"With signature plumes and a beautiful floral print, Ellery's usual structured shapes and speciality fabrics were on display," commented marie claire's Fashion Market Editor, Bree McDonald. "Lace, feather and brocade all worked to perfection in a thoroughly modern collection."
