Dannii Minogue Showcases Her Favourite Red Carpet Looks

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week ambassadress Dannii Minogue hosted an intimate installation at Melbourne Town Hall last night in celebration of her favourite red carpet looks.

Accompanied by boyfriend Kris Smith, Minogue hit the red carpet in a stunning hand-embroidered gold couture dress by Melbourne duo J'Aton, who were in attendance on the night along with DJ Vogue Williams, Brian McFadden, Brodie Harper and Aurelio Costarella.

Minogue took to the podium to express her thanks to the local designers, in particular J'Aton, saying she was proud to know such talent.

"I could only wear some of the dresses in this room for a short amount of time," Minogue told the audience. "So this installation is the perfect way to be able to show them off again".

Amongst the collection of gowns were two creations by Aurelio Costarella, who has maintained a close relationship with the star.

"I had a very long thank you list," Minogue admitted to marie claire later on. "But at the end of the day, I wanted the spotlight to be on the local designers. This night is really a vehicle to bring the fashion industry together, both old and new. I mean, I'm a new designer, and there are a lot of new designers here tonight, so I think it's a great way of introducing them to those in the know."

Minogue made headlines recently after stating she no longer worries about ageing.

"I think getting older is fun. Definitely, having perspective - from nearly losing my sister and quite a few very close friends, and losing my best friend - means you realise every day is such a gift.

"I really am bowled over if someone says, "Oh I'm getting old". I think, "Aren't you lucky?" It's impossible for me to even look at it that way. I embrace it, love it."
