Your Skin Tone Is Fair

"Bright, '80s-inspired make-up is perfect for those with pale complexions," says make-up artist Napoleon Perdis. He suggests you select flattering lip shades of lolly pink, tangy coral and watermelon; and for eyes, try sorbet tones of leaf green, ice blue and violet. "To make your eyeshadow appear more intense, blend a white eye pencil onto your eyelids and press your eyeshadow over the top," he adds. If you also have fair hair, you will need to define your lashes with mascara and your brows with a pencil
to help balance the look.

"This party season, super bright lipstick is definitely making an appearance. For fair skin, flirt with shades of bubblegum

pink and tangy coral," says make-up artist Napoleon Perdis.

Your Skin Tone Is Medium

"Olive skin tones should steer clear of pastels and go for shades with a little more vibrancy," suggests Perdis, who recommends juicy hues of tangerine, vermilion and fuchsia for your lips. "Accessorise your eyes with jewel-coloured shades of sapphire blue, amethyst, emerald green, turquoise and malachite. Your eye colour also plays a major part in how dramatic the look is: blue eyes should stick to eyeshadows with rust undertones, green eyes suit gold and coral undertones, while brown eyes are complemented by shades with a purple or burgundy base."

Your Skin Tone Is Dark

"Opulent pink-based colours make a contrasting statement against your skin's golden undertone," says Perdis, who recommends shades of magenta, blood red and orange for lips. "As dark skin usually means a darker natural lip tone, remember to line and shade in lips with a matching bright pencil to ensure colours stay true." For eyes, avoid fluorescent shades that can be unflattering and overpowering. Instead, opt for colours with a purple undertone, like electric blue and vivid violet, as well as contrasting colours, such as teal, burnt orange and yellow gold, which will make your eyes pop.
