Is there such a thing as going too far to fight the ageing process? If there is, this seems to be it. Proving that people will do anything to fight wrinkles, the latest attempt involves letting someone light you on fire.

The Huǒ liáo treatment, or “fire facial,” is gaining momentum in China, where the treatment originated.

The “fire facial” involves placing a towel soaked in alcohol and a special “elixir” on problem areas such as the face or legs, and then lighting it on fire for a few seconds. The combination of the alcohol, 'elixir' and fire apparently combat wrinkles and flabby skin.

We’ve heard of Lady Gaga using “Dragon’s Blood” to make her skin look younger and seen a number of strange contraptions such as the Pupeko Anti-Aging Mouthpiece which erases ‘telltale lines’ and wrinkles, but this one takes the cake.

The treatment claims to work wonders on dull skin, the common cold and even obesity but the risks seem far too great.
