Yahoo Lifestyle Zoe Saldaña Says the Slouchier the Suit, the Bigger the Star

Zoe Saldaña may stay away from the flashiness of Hollywood, but even when she steps out quietly, you can count on her to deliver a striking look.
On November 13, during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in New York City, the actor made a super slouchy suit look like the epitome of sophistication. The Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello set came in a cozy, textured cashmere in a cool stone-gray hue with a slight sheen.
The top was a double-breasted blazer so oversized that the black buttons rested atop the actor’s hips. She wore the piece over a crisp white shirt with thin black stripes, which she fastened with a silky black tie featuring diagonal silver stripes—both pieces also from Saint Laurent.
Zoe’s big, ‘90s-inspired suit pants flowed around her legs and pooled at her feet, where a pair of pointy electric-gold heels brought the party.
The ensemble—which brought to mind the oversized gray suit that Julia Roberts wore to the 1990 Golden Globes—was so exquisite it didn’t need much else, which is why the Avatar star styled it only with classic gold hoop earrings and her wedding band from husband Marco Perego-Saldaña. She added a grungy twist to the look with a short black manicure, and she wore natural makeup and a curly, side-parted hairdo.
Zoe has been on a style streak as she promotes her new film, Emilia Pérez, which she stars in alongisde Selena Gomez and the film’s lead, Karla Sofía Gascón. The movie debuted to an 11-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and hit Netflix this Wednesday, November 13.
