The actress and director has a longstanding relationship with the brand, and has been the global ambassador for YSL Beauté since 2017. Over the years, she has fronted campaigns for key product launches, including the Black Opium Eau de Parfum and Le Slim lipstick.
At the Golden Globes, where she was a presenter, Kravitz wore a custom black and white gown from the French label. Her plunging velvet Saint Laurent gown was tied with a white silk bow that extended into a floor-length train. Kravitz’s dark tresses were slicked back into an updo, while her makeup consisted of winged eyeliner.
She was styled by Andrew Mukamal for the awards ceremony, and accessorized her look with jewelry from Jessica McCormack, wearing diamond drop earrings and stacked rings. She is a brand ambassador to the British luxury jeweler, and in October, celebrated Frieze week in London with the brand. Kravitz co-hosted a dinner alongside the jeweler in the brand’s Mayfair showroom, with guests, including Naomi Ackie, Sabrina Dhowre Elba, Vick Hope, Catriona Balfe and Abbey Lee, in attendance.
At the event, Kravitz told WWD about shooting “Caught Stealing,” a film directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Austin Butler and Regina King, which is set to be released in 2025.
“It’s the first time I’ve acted in four years because I’ve been directing and writing. It’s been scary, but being on the other side of things has also given me a whole new understanding of filmmaking. I have more information, compassion and awareness of what it really takes to direct and to make a film,” she said.
