Zhuri James Gets Hilariously Grossed Out After Big Brother Bronny Gives Her a Sweaty Hug at His G-League Debut
Bronny's embrace came as he made his debut in the developmental league on Saturday, Nov. 9
Bronny James’ G League debut didn’t pass the smell test, according to his little sister Zhuri!
In an adorable clip from the game featuring the South Bay Lakers against the Salt Lake City Stars on Saturday, Nov. 9, Bronny, 20, gave his 10-year-old sister a hug as he came off the court.
In the video, Zhuri made a funny face and acted as though she was brushing off his sweat from her shirt.
“That’s my play of the night,” a broadcaster joked after the seemingly pungent moment.
The game marked Bronny’s first since he was assigned to the developmental league last week, following a brief stint at the start of the season with his father LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the matchup on Saturday, Bronny played 31 minutes and scored six points on 2-for-9 shooting. LeBron and wife Savannah James’ eldest son also had four assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block in the game.

“I was just happy to see him get out there and show the world that he can play,” guard Quincy Olivari said, according to ESPN. “I think I’m a big advocate on pushing that he’s a great basketball player and that the criticism he gets is unfair.”
LeBron and Savannah were in attendance for their son's debut at UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo, Calif., as was his Lakers coach JJ Redick and teammate Anthony Davis, according to KTLA-TV.

As Bronny adjusts in his first year in the pros, he’s slated to play only home games for Los Angeles while he shuttles between the two teams. He played 1:28 and came up scoreless in the Lakers-76ers game the night before his G League debut.
Since his record-setting appearance with his father on opening night, Bronny’s move to the G League has been in the works.

“The plan for Bronny to move between the Lakers and South Bay has always been the plan since day one. Rob [Pelinka, Lakers GM] and I have talked about that. LeBron’s talked about that,” Redick said in October, according to the Associated Press.
While Bronny is set to divide his time between the two teams, Redick said "those plans could change," with the coach telling reporters that "our plans are always fluid based on real time."
