Zendaya spent all of 2024 making a case for method dressing, from preppy tenniscore dresses à la her Challengers character Tashi Donaldson to futuristic separates that looked like they belonged in the world of Dune. So naturally, the Euphoria alum ran it back with the help of her longtime stylist, Law Roach, as she stepped out for her first red carpet of 2025. At Sunday night's 2025 Golden Globes, Zendaya looked like a classic Old Hollywood starlet with a brand-new wavy bob and a glamorous rust orange gown.

The former Disney star was nominated in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture–Musical or Comedy category for her role as the tennis star-turned-coach who becomes embroiled in a steamy love triangle. Her latest Golden Globes gown? It came up aces.

The sleeveless satin custom Louis Vuitton dress featured a princess neckline, a fitted bodice, and a column skirt along with a voluminous train. She wore matching pointed toe heels and finished off the look with a dramatic diamond Bulgari choker with a sea green pendant, and a matching statement ring. She also sported a sparkly ring on her left hand on that finger—queue the engagement rumors in 3, 2, 1...

The most surprising part of her look, however, was her brand-new bob, which she wore with a ton of volume in soft pin curl-style waves. The soft, romantic style looks like something straight off the 1930s and '40s classics of the silver screen.

Zendaya spent the year making the case for red carpet method dressing. Well, now it seems she's method dressing as an Old Hollywood superstar—and, naturally, she's completely pulling it off.

Zendaya won her first Golden Globes award in 2023 for her role as Rue Bennett in Euphoria.

Zendaya posed without her partner, Tom Holland, on Sunday’s star-studded red carpet, but as he recently explained, this has become their norm. In fact, there's a sweet reason that the longtime couple rarely walk red carpets together in an interview with Men’s Health, telling the publication that he tends to avoid dual premiere appearances “because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”

Zendaya made her last award-season appearance at the Gotham Awards this December, wearing a white side boob-baring gown as she accepted the Spotlight Tribute for her role in the Luca Guadagnino-directed film.

Challengers fever is far from over—and neither is the 2025 Oscars buzz for her performance. Only time will tell whether Zendaya will be nominated for her very first Academy Award. Nominations are out on January 17, but it looks like fans can expect to see more red-carpet style moments from the star this year.
