Yellow Labrador Steals the Show at Parent’s Wedding by Napping Through the Vows
Wedding season is almost over, but not quite yet! We've still got a few months of adorable fall-themed weddings to go, and that means there are still lots of dogs waiting to crash the party. Fall is perfect weather for having a dog in your wedding!
On Friday, September 13th, one happy couple decided to include their Yellow Labrador in their wedding. Honestly, it went better than a lot of other dog-friendly weddings have, and that's thanks to a well-planned nap time:
I just know @briannahuynhphotography did a great job capturing this wedding in general, but this moment was so special. I bet their pictures of it are perfect, too!

Brianna isn't this pup's mom, so we don't know too much about her other than that her name is Gamma and her parents got married during her nap time. This video got over 7 million views, and for good reason. Gamma totally zonked during the vows! After seeing lots of very sweet dog-in-wedding videos and even more dog-in-wedding-gone-wrong videos, this is a hilarious change of pace!
The leash was entrusted to a groomsman, and it's white, so even though she was out like a light she was still on-theme. It genuinely feels like every bit of this was expertly planned and perfectly executed. Amazing job!
How to Prepare Your Dog For Your Wedding
If you want to have your dog in or at your wedding, you should. It's your day. Anyone who doesn't like it can just stay home. You do not have to cater to other people on your big day.
However, there are some things you can do to help make sure it all goes smoothly:
If you plan to dress them, make sure you try on their outfit beforehand to be sure that it fits and they're used to it.
Five minutes or so before the ceremony, have someone take them to potty and give them some water and a snack.
Keep them leashed up during the ceremony to prevent them from going anywhere.
Play with them beforehand so that they're a bit tired (or a lot tired!).
Regardless of how well you prepared, you should have a designated dog watcher who will make sure that they're doing okay. If they're not, that person may need to distance the dog from the wedding. Try setting up a "calm down corner" with a bed, a water bowl, and even a couple of treats. You can never be too careful!
