Woolworths is giving away free $249 coffee machines: 'Incredible'

Woolworths is once again running one of their most popular promotions sending shoppers into a frenzy - but there’s a catch.

The retail giant has teamed up with L’OR Coffee, offering a free coffee machine valued at $249 with the purchase of L’OR coffee pods in 700 of their stores.

To be eligible, customers need to purchase $120 worth of L’OR coffee pods. Then, at the checkout, the $249 coffee machine will be deducted from the sale.

It's not clear whether or not customers need to be Woolworths Rewards members before the promotion can be claimed.

Since the offer started on June 9, customers have been sharing where they scored their free machine and their coffee pod hauls.

“Thanks to the person who posted about the coffee machine deal!” One happy shopper wrote on the Markdown Addicts Australia Facebook page.

“I literally sent my husband out straight away to get us one. He got the last one in Casula.”

Customers love top-quality free coffee machine

Shoppers who had scored the promotion the last time it ran said the coffee machine is excellent value for a free machine.

“Just a heads up to everyone. I have this machine and have had it for 2 years!! The best machine I’ve ever purchased (never thought I would use pods),” the shopper said.

“Milk frother froths too much and not enough milk, I advise to whoever purchases to remove the spring thingy in frother to have more milk. Enjoy!”

“I have this machine it's incredible. Easy to clean, easy to use, and delicious,” said another.

“I'm a coffee snob too and never wanted pod machine until my partner and I both started waking up at 5 am for work. Supremo dark purple 10 is our fav capsule.”

How to score your free machine

Customers can pick up their free coffee machine at their local Woolworths store until June 22. But if you want to bag this bargain, you better get in quick. While some shoppers said their local woolies still had some available, they were in short supply.

“Woolworths Coomera West has 3 left, thank you soo much to who found this deal!!,” one person wrote.

Some said they weren’t able to find any machines left in their local store and were told by other savvy shoppers to keep an eye out for the promotion which ‘pops up every now and again.”

Woolworths had a similar promotion in August 2020 when they offered up a $99 Lavazza Jolie Coffee Machine for free when customers purchased $66 worth of Lavazza capsules.
