A fan of My Chemical Romance is “tired of the excuses” from a friend who won’t pay for half of the two tickets she bought for them to see the rock band on their upcoming Long Live The Black Parade Tour.

The woman explained took to Reddit’s “Am I the A------” forum on Feb. 9 to share that she purchased the concert tickets in November with the assumption that her friend from college would pay her back soon after.

“I set aside money to buy both tickets and sat in the queue for them,” she recalled. “It was about $270 for both, which means she owed me $135. We are both college students, and I have expenses with grad school coming up, but I can afford to go to this concert and it’s not a problem.”

But over time, the woman revealed her friend kept pushing it aside.

“She promised to pay me back then after her next paycheck,” she said. “Lo and behold, it’s now February, and I have yet to receive the money. I set a few deadlines, asking for it consistently, but not trying to be annoying about it. She keeps making excuses, complaining that she has no money.”

Despite claiming she’s broke, the friend is somehow paying for tattoos.

“I watched her get a $300 tattoo, and she’s getting another one next week,” the ticket buyer emphasized. “I’m tired of being out of this kind of cash, and tired of the excuses when I know she’s just not prioritizing it. She, to me, can’t afford this concert. I’m tempted to just sell her ticket.”

Before making a decision, she asked Redditors, “AITA [am I the a------] if I sold my friend’s concert ticket after she hasn't paid me back?”

Her question incited more than 200 responses within 24 hours, as commenters rushed in to reassure her that she’s “NTA [not the a------].”

“YOU bought them, they are yours. Do whatever you want with them,” one person replied. “Give them one more notice, saying something like ‘Hi there. As I was the one who paid for the MCR tickets, and I am still out that money, I will be selling them online if you don’t pay me back by Y date. I’d love to go to the concert with you, hope you’re able to pay for the tickets!’ ”

Another commenter told the woman to not give her friend another chance.

“You said you gave her SEVERAL DEADLINES. She didn’t take them seriously,” the user noted. “She chose to spend $300 on a tattoo IN FRONT OF YOU. She doesn’t take you seriously. … Tell this friend that you won't be fronting her money ever again … It's B.S. She is only seeing if she can still get you to let her coast on your dime.”
