A tweet from the WNBA's social media account about a possible additional expansion team has produced some spectacular responses from basketball fans.

On Tuesday, the WNBA's main X (formerly Twitter) account tweeted, "You know what's better than 14 teams?" and left the question open-ended. (The tweet was also shared on the league's Instagram story.)

The likely assumption is that the post is about a reported 15th team in Portland that has been permeating hoops circles for days. However, the WNBA has yet to confirm that. Also, the league's account went about seemingly tweeting typical content (schedules, voter registration reminders, playoff implications etc.) after that like nothing ever happened.
