Who Will Win 'The Traitors' Season 3? A Power Ranking After Episode 9
As tonight's episode of The Traitors Season 3 wraps up, we're truly in the endgame. After nine episodes, the cast of 23 has been winnowed down to seven. The remaining Traitors and Faithfuls have a few more murders and banishments ahead of them as they hope to survive and claim the $250,000. But only three more players will go home before the Fire of Truth. And with only two episodes to go before a winner is crowned, we are taking upon ourselves the task of predicting a champion. Because why not?
While we don't know anything more about the outcome than you do, there's nothing more fun than a little guesswork. To that end, I've compiled a power ranking of the remaining seven players ranked from least likely to most likely to take home the money. Obviously, there are a lot of moving parts in this game, so trying to determine who will win might be a bit of a fool's errand. But looking at the cast there are definitely some players who stand a much better chance than others.
After last week's episode, I ranked Sam Asghari as fourth most likely to win out of the nine players remaining, but I noted that he could easily be one of the final murders of the season. Carolyn Wiger's exit this week is a bit more shocking. I ranked her third last week and though she'd surely win the showdown between her and Danielle Reyes. Unfortunately, I didn't quite see her chess game mishap coming.
You can read last week's full ranking here.
To determine this week's ranking, I looked at five major criteria for the players.
For the remaining Traitors, the questions are:
Will they be able to survive the Round Tables without being banished and make it to the end game?
If they make it to the Fire of Truth, will they be able to convince the remaining players that they are a Faithful?
For the Faithful, the questions are:
Will the Traitors want to murder them?
Will they be eliminated at an upcoming Round Table for seeming suspicious?
Will they be able to suss out the Traitors at the Fire of Truth, or will they vote to end the game with a Traitor in their midst?
Also, remember that this ranking is based on their odds of winning, not just going far.
Who will win The Traitors Season 3? A power ranking after Episode 9
7. Tom Sandoval (Faithful)
Last Week: 8th
Bringing up the rear once again we have Tom Sandoval. It's just so obviously apparent that no one in the castle likes him, and he's so off base thinking that Dolores is a Traitor. He could be murdered by the Traitors, he could be banished for kicks and giggles, or he could be booted out at the Fire of Truth. I just don't really see a path to him winning.
6. Lord Ivar Mountbatten (Faithful)
Last Week: 7th
It seems likely that we've only got one murder left. We know the Traitors are killing someone at the beginning of Episode 10. If there's also a banishment next week, we'll be heading into the finale with five players, the same number we've had going into the final Round Table the last two seasons. If that's the case, then I think either Ivar or Dolores will likely be the last murder victim. The remaining of the two will coast to the end of the game. But will they be able to suss out the Traitors? Unclear. Either way, their road is rocky.
5. Dolores Catania (Faithful)
Last Week: 5th
I ranked Dolores just one slot above Ivar because I think she's a bit more likable, which will help her throughout the final two episodes.
4. Danielle Reyes (Traitor)
Last Week: 9th
Presuming that Britney does indeed become a Traitor, that leaves two Traitors in the game heading into these last few Round Tables. I do think that Danielle's weird antics, not to mention her feud with Carolyn this week, will get her banished, as there's not many other good options. But, if Britney is banished first, I do think that could camouflage her enough to lead to a win. After all, who would suspect that both Big Brother players in a very overt alliance were both Traitors?
3. Britney Haynes (Traitor?)
Last Week: 6th
I think Britney's case for a win is very similar to Danielle's. They are the two remaining players with the most suspicion on them and the most likely to be banished. However, if Danielle gets banished first, I think Britney could spin that to her advantage in the Fire of Truth and take, say, Dolores to the end.
2. Gabby Windey (Faithful)
Last Week: 2nd
The two players who aren't obvious Faithful cannon fodder or the Traitors are Gabby and Dylan. They seem like the most likely players to sniff out the last two Traitors and win the game as Faithfuls. I think they're unlikely to be murdered, and the Big Brother duo are seemingly ahead of them on the chopping block. Gabby, however, could fall prey to Ivar's "two women are Traitors" theory though. In that scenario, though, Ivar would end up losing to whichever of the Big Brother women he didn't vote out in the Fire of Truth.
1. Dylan Efron (Faithful)
Last Week: 1st
Yet again, I think Dylan is sitting in the best place. He's unlikely to be murdered, and no one seems to suspect him of being a Traitor. He managed to sniff our Carolyn this week, and also suspected Danielle. The question will be if he can figure out that Britney has been recruited.
