Following the "sudden" death of socialite Peaches Geldof on April 7, British police say they are investigating the unexplained death and will hand their findings to a coroner.

A post-mortem will be performed in the next few days on 25-year-old Geldof, who was pronounced dead by paramedics at her home in Wrotham, southeast of London, on Monday.

While it remains unclear what exactly caused her "unexplained sudden death", friends and family continue to mourn the mum of two. Most recently, Geldof's older sister Fifi shared a poignant Instagram post in honour of her late baby sister, as a heartbreaking final blog post written by the British model, writer and TV personality also emerged.

"My beautiful baby sister... Gone but never forgotten. I love you, Peaches x," Fifi, 31, wrote of her sister, 25, alongside an adorable old photo of the two of them as children.

Peaches, who was found dead Monday inside a home in Kent, England, had recently signed on to write a column for Britain's Mother & Baby magazine, seemingly completing her transition from wild child to responsible mum.

Her final column, to be published in the coming weeks, has since been posted to Mother & Baby's website in tribute to Geldof and with the "blessing of her family". The column focuses on Geldof's sons, Astala, 23 months, and Phaedra, nearly 12 months, and how they rescued her from what she called "a life of wanton wanderlust," a "haze of youth and no responsibilities."

Reflecting on her journey into motherhood, the 25-year-old proclaims she's "happier than ever" as a mum. "I wanted an anchor -- I craved it," she wrote of life before babies. "And, when I had two wailing, smiling, joyful little blobs of waddling pink flesh, they became my entire existence, and saved me from one of pure apathy."

Not without its drawbacks, Geldof admitted she felt suddenly "friendless," as "fair-weather" pals fell out of touch. "I felt alienated and abandoned," after becoming a mum. "Had I made a mistake?"

Absolutely not, she proclaims at the end of the column after sharing a "heartbreakingly sweet" story about her son Phaedra. After giving his mum a drawing in her honour, "Phaedy gave me a wet kiss, and both [sons] collapsed giggling into my arms, looking at me with pure love," she wrote.

"In that magic moment, all my doubts were erased. Everything else was nothingness and it just...didn't matter. I had the perfect life -- two beautiful babies who loved me more than anything. It was, and is, bliss."

"Happier than ever," Geldof wrote in her final paragraph. "I've achieved a sort of perfect balance." "Right now life is good. And being a mum is the best part of it."

Meanwhile, Kent police are treating the death as non-suspicious, but are not releasing further details as their investigation continues. They are expected to supply a report to the coroner, and an autopsy will likely be carried out in the next few days.
