As it turns out, Khloé Kardashian's estranged husband didn't meet Jenner, 66, until months after she transitioned, something Kardashian reveals on a recent episode of Kocktails with Khloé.

In a sneak peek at the episode, Kardashian opens up to her guests Trey Songz, Kendra Wilkinson, Jillian Rose Reed and comedian Pauly Shore about when Odom met Jenner for the first time.

"When [Odom] had his accident and was in the hospital, Caitlyn was like, 'I want to come and see Lamar,' " Kardashian, 31, says, referencing Odom's Oct. 13 hospitalization for a near-fatal overdose after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel.

But as Kardashian explains it, Odom wasn't even aware that Jenner had transitioned at the time of his hospitalization because he "was not in the best state" in the months leading up to his accident, during which time Jenner was coming into her new, public identity as a woman.

"I know the state he was in and it wasn't healthy," Kardashian says of the former NBA star, who has struggled with substance abuse.

So, when he was hospitalized, "Lamar did not know about Caitlyn at that time," Kardashian says, "and Lamar was in the hospital for four months, and I kept Lamar very sheltered."

Ultimately, Kardashian doesn't actually reveal when the two met for the first time, though the introduction definitely took place after he was hospitalized.

"When Caitlyn wanted to come and visit Lamar for the first time, it was in the hospital," Kardashian explains, saying that she wanted to "respect Caitlyn being Caitlyn," but also wasn't sure how to handle breaking the news of Jenner's transition to Odom, who was already in a fragile state.

In the months since, Odom has spent time with the Kardashian-Jenner family, and even made his first public appearance at Kanye West's fashion show with the famous family in February, which Jenner also attended.
