Dancing Cop Does 'The Wobble' at Community Event, Becomes Internet Sensation (VIDEO)

A dancing cop in America has become an Internet sensation thanks to his stellar moves.

A cellphone video of Officer David Lee of the Hickory Police Department doing "The Wobble" in full uniform has racked up over 5 million views in less than a week, according to WBTV.

Margo Carlton of Hickory, North Carolina, posted the video to her Facebook page late last week, and it has received over 100,000 shares.

The dance took place at a community block party hosted by a local university fraternity and the Hickory Police Department, the site reports. Officials said more than 200 community members were in attendance.

"Normally the only time the African-American community and the police interact is when something is wrong. The whole concept for this event was to come together when nothing is wrong," Steve Davenport, President of Kappa Alpha Psi in Hickory, told the news station. "We can actually coexist. We can have fun and just be people."
