Selena Gomez Breaks Down Over Justin Bieber In New Song

Since splitting from Justin Bieber two years ago, Selena Gomez has had a fair share of criticism lobbed at her for consistently reuniting with her ex.

Now, the star – whom a source told WHO sought treatment earlier this year for her "toxic relationship" with the singer – is answering all concerned parties in a very big way.

Dropping a surprise single titled "Heart Wants What It Wants", Gomez, 22, is heard having an emotional discussion about her relationship with Bieber, 20, in the first minute of the dramatic music video.

"You make me feel crazy, you make me feel like it's my fault," she says in the video's intro. "I was in pain … I know him though, and I know that I know his heart, and I know what he wouldn't do to hurt me."

In a recent radio interview, Gomez admitted she had shared the song and music video with her infamous ex, and what he thought about the song.

For Bieber's part, "he thought it was beautiful," Gomez confessed, admitting it was difficult for both parties to watch.

“I think it was really hard,” Selena said of Justin’s reaction to the song. “I think he was a little jealous of the video guy at first. Honestly, music is an expression, and if you will be that voice for these girls, there are some people that feel this. This is universal.”

Gomez also explained that the breakdown was recorded during the video shoot about her famous ex: "They taped the mic underneath the table when I was shooting the video," she told Seacrest. "And I had shot the video over a year ago. So, in that state – where I was in that place emotionally – I went in and I went into the room by myself, and I looked at the actual mirror in the music video, and I had a conversation [with] myself to every question I had in my mind in that moment."
