‘White Lotus’ Season 3 Premiere Scores 2.4 Million Viewers

“The White Lotus” Season 3 premiere pulled in an impressive 2.4 million viewers on Sunday.

That number represents those who watched on HBO and digital platforms, including Max. The viewership is up 57% compared to the Season 2 premiere in 2022, which notched 1.5 million viewers, and 155% from the series premiere in 2021, which drew 944,000 viewers.

Between Sunday and Monday, the premiere episode pulled in 4.6 million viewers total across all platforms in the U.S., up 90% from the Season 2 premiere in the same time frame, per HBO. The premium cabler also claims that Season 2 of the hit series went on to average 15.5 million viewers, while Season 1 averaged 9.3 million.

The third season of “The White Lotus” has also received strong buzz from critics, with the third season holding a 93% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Season 3 of the series takes place at the fictional White Lotus resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. Past seasons took place Hawaii and Sicily. The sprawling ensemble cast for the third season includes Season 1 star Natahsa Rothwell as well as Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola.

Mike White created “The White Lotus” and serves as executive producer and director. David Bernad and Mark Kamine also executive produce.

“The White Lotus” proved to be an immediate hit for HBO when it debuted in 2021. The first season received 20 Emmy nominations and ten wins, including best limited or anthology series. The second season went on to receive 23 Emmy nominations with five wins.
