Wendy’s Fans Are ‘Super Excited’ About Reported Frosty Update

Wendy’s fans could soon be enjoying a wider selection of desserts from the fast food giant.

The burger chain is reportedly expanding its Frosty offerings, and fans say they’re “super excited” about the concept.

In a collaboration with fellow food blogger Sodaseekers, foodie influencer Snachwithzach revealed a game-changing update for the frozen treat. The video, posted on Feb. 15, went into great detail about the reported changes, which were leaked to the reputable foodstagrammer in a memo from an anonymous source.

“There are two major things that Wendy’s is planning on doing that will absolutely up the Frosty’s game,” he detailed before launching into the first: Frosty Swirls.

“It’s no secret at this point that the Thin Mints Frosty is coming out on February 21st. That’s a good example of what the Frosty Swirls are going to look like, but it gets much bigger than just these two. This coming April, you will be able to add caramel, strawberry, and brownie batter swirls to any of the Frosty flavors that they have. The Spongebob Frosty makes a little bit more sense now,” he said.

In 2024, Wendy’s announced the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, a collaboration with the SpongeBob Squarepants universe that consisted of a vanilla Frosty base swirled with a pineapple mango puree.

The influencer continued, sharing that the second update “is going to piggyback off of the swirls, that is Frosty fusions, that launches in mid-May.” The new menu item will mix existing Frosty flavors like vanilla or chocolate with a sauce and mix-ins, the food blogger said, comparing it to McFlurries from McDonald’s or Blizzards from Dairy Queen.

“The potential of this is massive, the biggest question I have is how it’s going to affect limited-time offerings,” he said, before caveating the report to explain “keep in mind, Wendy’s has not confirmed this, but the source is very reliable.”

Parade reached out to Wendy’s for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Fans were thrilled by the announcement, jumping into the comments to say that they were “super excited 😮,” with several comparing it to previous menu items. “Hope this is a Twisted Frosties comeback!! Those were awesome!!” wrote one fan.

Another agreed, commenting, “they had these back when i was working at wendy’s in the late 00s. so glad to see these coming back.”
