Watch Leo Woodall Vow to 'Burn Them All to Hell' in Apple TV+'s New Thriller “Prime Target”

Leo Woodall is the Prime Target.

On Jan. 13, Apple TV+ released the trailer for a new thriller series which follows a "brilliant young math postgraduate, Edward Brooks (Woodall), who is on the verge of a major breakthrough," according to an official synopsis.

“If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world," the description continues. "Soon, he begins to realize an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent (Quintessa Swindell) who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians’ behavior."

Edward and Taylah work together to "unravel the troubling conspiracy Edward is at the heart of."

The trailer begins with Edward sitting at a Cambridge University lecture hall, as his professor declares that "Sir Isaac Newton started a revolution in mathematics," he then scoffs and claims, "Newton was full of it."

When they later meet during office hours, his professor admits, "everyone tells me that you're brilliant" and they discuss his ongoing project where he's "looking for sequences in prime numbers."

"What if numbers didn't behave in the way we assume? What if we're not in control?" Edward asks to which his professor ominously replies, "You need to drop this, now."

As time goes on, Edward realizes his movements are being watched and he's being followed. He is later chased into a library and attacked until Taylah comes from out of the woodwork and saves the day.

"People are paying attention to you. Your work is the cornerstone to all digital security, bank accounts, defense systems, government records. Do you hold the handle how valuable, how dangerous you become?" she tells him, before offering to help.

Eventually, word of Edward's discovery reach the government. When a national security officer (Martha Plimpton) weighs the chaos a potential "key that could pick every digital lock in the world," she solemnly gives orders to "neutralize target."

The chase forces Edward and Taylah to go on the run. When he tells her he wants to "fight back," she replies, "Let's burn them all to hell."

Prime Target premieres Jan. 22 on Apple TV+.
