Watch Jennifer Garner scream and laugh her way through a haunted house: 'Take my son!'

“Why are you saying I’m alright? I’m not alright.”

Jennifer Garner was wholly unprepared for the reality of coming face-to-face with some grim, grinning ghosts.

The Deadpool & Wolverine actress posted a hilarious Instagram video on Sunday that saw her screaming, laughing, and even offering up her 12-year-old son Samuel Affleck to a ghastly ghoul while walking through a haunted house with her family. 

In the clip, Garner can be seen filming herself as she wanders through the dimly-lit attraction, repeatedly telling performers that she could see them and flip-flopping back and forth between happily laughing and loudly screaming.

“I don’t like when they pursue us,” Garner confessed as she raised her hand up seemingly toward another creature in surrender. “Don’t pursue!”

When one of her children appeared to attempt to comfort her during the spooky attraction, Garner simply replied, “Why are you saying I’m alright? I’m not alright.”

She continued to shriek at monsters to stay away before trying a bold new tactic: calling the spirits out. “There’s a person,” she said. “I see you and I’m not frightened of you.”

However, her son sounded unsure of her assessment. “Mom, you’re breaking my hand,” he seemingly said. “I can’t actually feel my hand.”

Garner, naturally, threw her 12-year-old under the bus the next time a monster came toward them. “I’m not who you want!” She declared. “Take my son!”

Despite all of the terror, Garner ultimately commended the haunted house, calling the experience "very effective." Here's hoping she and her family stop by another one before Halloween ends!
