We already know Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager love to keep up with the latest trends, and right now, that means getting into the "mob wife aesthetic."

The new trend going around on TikTok has women throwing out the simple and minimal "clean girl aesthetic" and instead opting for bolder, louder style with lots of animal print, fur coats, red nails and accessories to the max. The look is supposed to capture the same "mob wife" essence embodied by someone like, say, Carmela Soprano.

So of course, the ladies of Hoda and Jenna had to give it a try.

In a new Instagram post shared on Thursday, Jan. 25, the Today show personalities both dressed up in their mob wife best, with Kotb, 59, rocking all-black under a cropped snakeskin jacket. She even added a pair of oversized sunglasses and some giant hoop earrings.

For her part, Bush Hager was wearing a black leather skirt paired with a cheetah-print tank top layered over a black long-sleeved blouse. The 42-year-old accessorized with a long fur coat, some funky rectangular black shades, and big gold statement necklaces for jewelry.

Bush Hager even tried playing the part, too, as she pretended to be smoking a cigarette while posing for some pics with her co-host.

"It's all over TikTok so we had to try it for ourselves...," the pair's Instagram caption read. "Entering our mob wife era. 🕶️💅 How’d we do? 😂"

Fans in the comments seemed to have mixed reactions on how well Kotb and Bush Hager could pull off the mob wife aesthetic, but everyone seemed to agree that the segment was extremely entertaining, at the least.

"Lol……this is a riot!!!!" one user commented, while someone else thought the duo "killed it" with their new looks.

"You guys looked FAB! Hoda really wore it…just sayin [sic]."

"That was EVERYTHING!!" someone else gushed.

Maybe Kotb and Bush Hager will have to incorporate more animal-print and faux fur into their Today show wardrobe from now on!
