The Viral Recipe That Has Us Rushing to the Store to Grab a Box of Pie Crust
There’s no better feeling than hearing my kids say, “This is so good!” after dinner. It’s like winning the gold medal of mom life. But it gets even better when a whole crowd is raving about my cooking—instant MVP status. And let’s not forget the cherry on top: my husband bragging to anyone who’ll listen about my kitchen skills. Yep, my ego grows a bit every time.
So, what’s my secret? Viral TikTok and Instagram recipes. I’ll scroll through, find the ones with a gazillion likes, and give them a shot. Turns out, if thousands of people love it, there’s a good chance my crew will, too. From fun twists on classics like stuffed peppers or mashed potatoes to more intricate dishes and desserts, those internet-famous dishes rarely disappoint.
I'll tweak them here and there, of course—add a pinch of this, skip that and by the end, I’ve got a dish that feels special, but not fussy. And when everyone digs in and loves it? That’s my viral moment, right in my own kitchen.
I see another viral moment coming up with this recipe that content creator Hannah Gray shared on her Instagram page (@onesweetmomma). It looks amazing and I know my kids are going to love it as much as her fans do.

What the Heck is Pop Tart Pie?
Hannah calls this a "pop-tart pie" and it has people ready to run to the store for some brown sugar and a box of pie crust.
People love Pop-Tarts for their gooey fillings—fruit, chocolate, cinnamon—and the nostalgia factor. Having a Pop-Tart makes you feel like a kid again. And that's the vibe Hannah's going for with this recipe, although in a bigger pie-like format.
She sandwiches the filling between two store-bought pie crust rounds, crimps the edges, bakes it, then glazes it on top. She cuts the Pop Tart pie into wedges and breakfast, brunch or dessert is served!

How to Make a Pop Tart Pie
To make these, you'll need two pie crust rounds (storebought or homemade), brown sugar, cinnamon, flour and butter. Start by mixing the brown sugar, cinnamon, flour and some melted butter together to make the cinnamon filling.
Brush some melted butter onto one of the pie crusts. Pour the brown sugar mixture onto the pie crust and spread it out evenly, leaving a plain border around the edges. Top the filling with another pie crust and crimp the edges closed using a fork. Bake until the pie crust is golden brown and cooked all the way through.
Once the Pop Tart pie has cooled, top it with frosting. From the video, it looks like Hannah made a simple glaze with powdered sugar, cinnamon and milk but you might need to play around with that at home.
