While speaking candidly about her fertility journey on the Monday, Dec. 2 episode of the Behind the Table podcast, Griffin said she and her husband made the decision to try IVF after getting pregnant just "wasn't happening naturally."

"My husband and I have been hoping, trying to get pregnant for about a year-and-a-half," she explained on the podcast, while sharing that she is now on her "second cycle" of IVF treatments.

Griffin said she was initially "surprised" by how hard it was for her to get pregnant, stating, "I’m only 35, and to me, I was like, ‘I’ve got plenty of time, this won’t be that difficult, I’m healthy, I work out, I eat right,’ and my body was just not cooperating with it."

As for why she decided to publicly share her personal experience, Griffin said she wants to help other women "who are struggling" and remind them that "there is hope."

"You just have to kind of be present in the process as you’re in it," she further stated. "There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I don’t know when it will be for us, but it’s also incredible what science can do."

Plus, Griffin also has a solid support system around her, namely her co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines, who she said has been "beyond supportive and helpful in this process."

But even though she said she felt "great" during her first round of IVF, the second round hasn't been as easy.

"I’ve just not felt myself," she explained. "I’ve been tired, I’ve been emotional, and you feel uncomfortable in your body."

Griffin then joked, "If I melt down on air, now you know why!"
