‘The View’ Hosts Joke About What JD Vance’s Initials Really Stand For

The co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” on Monday joked about what the JD in Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance’s name stands for.

And it’s “Just Dumb,” they cracked.

They bestowed the mocking moniker upon Donald Trump’s running mate ― whose full, real name is James David Vance ― during a discussion about the “optimism” of Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign compared with the “weird” messaging from Republicans.

“Don’t complain that we’re calling you weird because you’ve attacked her on her dating history,” said former Republican consultant Ana Navarro. “You have called her a DEI hire. You’ve said everything she’s got is because of her gender and her skin color. You’ve called her all sorts of names.”

She added, “So, I think we’re being really kind and gracious by just calling you weird, and frankly, JD Vance, ‘Just Dumb Vance,’ is pretty weird.”

Fellow co-host Whoopi Goldberg reminded Navarro that she came up with the gag last week.
