UK’s Insight Management & Production Hires Rachel Mathias To Head Up New Lit Department
EXCLUSIVE: UK talent agency Insight Management & Production has brought in veteran literary agent Rachel Mathias to head up the company’s newly launched literary department.
Mathias joins after almost eight years in the Global TV Group at CAA, where she repped writers, directors, and production companies active in the UK and international space. Before that, she worked in production, with stints at Avalon Entertainment, Raw TV and the BBC. As Insight’s Head of Literary, she will look to continue signing top writing, directing and creative talent, working closely with her clients through development of their own projects, and using her established relationships to further their ambitions.

Insight’s new department will provide bespoke management to exceptional creatives including writers, directors, and producers, alongside the company’s established roster of talent. Notable clients on that front include Academy Award nominee Maria Bakalova (The Apprentice), Golden Globe winner Emma Corrin (Deadpool & Wolverine), BAFTA winner Chanel Cresswell (This Is England ’90), BAFTA nominees Josh Finan (FX’s Say Nothing) and Saffron Hocking (Netflix’s Top Boy), Olivier nominee Luke Thompson (Netflix’s Bridgerton), Jay Lycurgo (Netflix’s Steve), and Samuel Blenkin (FX’s Alien: Earth).
Maya Hambro, Tom Jeggo, and Charlie Wilson launched Insight in 2020, with a mission to provide dedicated and personalized management to a curated selection of talent. Stated the founding trio, “We have always wanted Insight to be a home for exceptional talent behind as well as in front of the camera, so we are thrilled Rachel has come on board as our Head of Literary to begin building this department. We are excited to support her as she grows her list of phenomenal filmmaking talent.”
Hambro, Jeggo, and Wilson shared that Mathias’s “approach and taste aligns perfectly with ours and she’s an invaluable new addition to the team. She brings years of experience representing high level writing and directing talent both in the UK and internationally, as well as production experience, and we look forward to seeing her grow the department.”
Added Mathias, “I am extremely excited to be joining Insight as Head of Literary. Maya, Charlie, Tom and I share the same ethos of working closely with our clients to achieve their ambitions, and supporting and amplifying a diverse group of talent. I cannot wait to get started!”
