Tyra Banks Welcomes A 'Miracle' Baby

Tyra Banks has welcomed a baby boy into the world.

The 42-year-old America’s Next Top Model host and her boyfriend, Norwegian photographer Erik Asla, made the announcement on her Instagram page, with an adorable photo of a baby's beanie.

It is believed the star welcomed her son, named York Banks Asla, into the world by surrogate as she thanked the "angel of a woman" who carried the couple's "miracle" baby.

"The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here," she gushed about her baby boy in the Instagram post.

"He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone.

"York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."

Last September the star, who has been dating Erik for the past two years, broke down as she discussed her struggles with fertility with Chrissy Teigen.

"I want to co-sign what Chrissy is saying and say 'You have no idea what people are going through,'" she said on her daytime talk show FabLife, fighting back tears.

"Why am I crying? You just have no idea what people are going through, so when you ask Chrissy [why don't you have kids] or me that or anybody that, it is none of your frigging business, okay?"

"And for any women, it is none of your business what somebody is going through," the former model continued.

"Whether they want to have a child or don't ever want to have a child or may have a child on the way, it's none of your business, okay? Until somebody wants to make it your business."

Tyra late admitted that she was undergoing IVF treatment in order to conceive and urged women everywhere to support each other.
