Yahoo Lifestyle Travis Kelce's Neighbor Makes a Bold Claim About Taylor Swift Dating Timeline
In September 2023, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift went public with their relationship—but one of his neighbors recently claimed their romance actually started much sooner.
The Traitors star Wes Bergmann appeared on The Social Game Podcast in February, dishing to hosts Michele Fitzgerald and Kellie Nalbandian about living next door to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
“He's an enigma. On one hand, he's like this big, tough football player,” Bergmann said of Kelce. “On the other, he's going to have about 12 Taylor Swift songs written about him.”
That's when the two-time The Challenge champion delved into Kelce and Swift's relationship timeline. His intel was based on living directly next to Kelce in their Leawood, Kansas City gated community.
“OK and on that note, I was like the first person to know about any of this stuff. And I tried to tell [Fitzgerald] a long time ago,” Bergmann explained. "They are together, just so you know’ and she didn't believe it."
He continued, "She didn't believe it. She was like, ‘She only goes for artists. I beat the validating of her showing up to games and stuff by like six months.”
On Sept. 24, 2023, Swift practically broke the internet when she was spotted at a Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce previously opened up about attending an Eras Tour concert at the same venue, where he attempted to give the pop star a special bracelet.
"If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets. I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” he said during a July 2023 episode of his New Heights podcast.
Kelce added, “She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal."
Of course, the rest is history, as Swift and Kelce did end up connecting and have been going strong ever since.
