Taylor Swift has embraced her Kansas City Chiefs fandom era, from integrating the team’s red, white, and color colors into stylish WAG outfits to watching the games in boyfriend Travis Kelce’s suite with her parents Andrea and Scott and her squad of best friends. Swift’s star power has brought in more NFL viewers (and Swiftie pandemonium), with Swifties and football fans alike eager to catch a glimpse of her during a game. According to one of Travis Kelce’s friends, the “Blank Space” singer changes the energy in the VIP Chiefs box as well.

While making an appearance on a Thursday, January 23 episode of the Insight With Chris Van Vliet podcast, Baron Corbin opened up about what it was really like watching a game with Swift in Kelce’s private suite after the Chiefs tight end invited him. With his uncle and brother in tow during a 2024 game, the former WWE wrestler recalled one of them wondering if the Grammy Award-winning star would be in attendance that day.

“[Either my uncle or my brother] was like, ‘I wonder if Taylor’s going to be here,’ and as they say it, she was [walking] into the room,” he remembered. “My brother’s freaking a little bit and she walks right up to everybody, gives them a hug, [and] gave us a hug,” saying Swift’s warmth made it feel “like you were instantly family.”

Corbin–whose real name is Tom Pestock–said he was surprised to see how down-to-earth Swift was despite her fame, describing her as “humble” and “super dope" as she hung out with a mixture of Kelce's friends. “[I] had conversations with her,” he added, “She walked in with, like, maybe her security guard. But, no entourage.” However, the former athlete also opened up about the cons of watching the game with Swift, namely the frenzy she inspired just by being there.

“It was crazy ‘cause I [felt] like I was in a fishbowl and I wanted out of the suite,” Corbin shared, calling the attention “a different magnitude.”

“It’s just mobs of people taking selfies of Taylor and just her existing. I’ve never been around someone like that, he added. “You felt like everyone in the stadium is staring at you because you’re standing behind her.”

It’s not the first time Corbin has opened up about what Swift is like behind-the-scenes. During an interview at WWE Summerslam last August, the former pro wrestler was full of praise for the “Bad Blood” star, saying she can “have a good time and have a drink” and “can hang with the boys," per Us Weekly.

“It’s rare to find someone like that on that level of stardom be so humble and cool that you would never know,” Corbin said at the time.
