The Traitors Recap: Broken Trust Sets the Stage for Another Big Banishment
What happens when three traitors can’t come to an agreement in the turret? In Thursday’s episode of The Traitors, Boston Rob, Danielle and Carolyn come shockingly close to answering that question.
Even though this devilish trio did settle on their next victim (R.I.P., Derrick!), that still doesn’t mean the hooded villains are anywhere close to being a unified front. An intense back-and-forth commences after last week’s roundtable and despite Danielle wanting to protect her friend Derrick, Boston Rob once again gets his way. With Derrick’s death certificate sealed in wax, the traitors decide to start over, and exchange apologies and handshakes. But they aren’t going to get their ish together that easily, right? Carolyn still doesn’t seem to trust Danielle, for starters… but alas, the game continues!

As the dearly departed Derrick predicted, Rob wastes no time heading out on his “I was framed!” tour. Dylan seems none the wiser, telling Rob about Derrick’s suspicions of Britney. While Dylan drinks the Kool-Aid, who would’ve thought that Tom Sandoval would, seven episodes later, become the voice of reason in the castle. When Rob leaves the room, Tom tries to convince Dylan that B.R. is a Big Bad, but it looks like his plea falls on deaf ears.
After a gross-out challenge chock-full of Scotland’s most horrific nasties, it’s back to the castle for more strategy, lies and deception. Tom tries to sell Rob as the pick for banishment, but the man from Boston claims that there’s no reason why he’d murder Derrick. But in order to avoid elimination, Rob knows he has to get the other two traitors on his side. Carolyn seems down to aim for Brit, but Danielle isn’t looking to be strong-armed again.
At the roundtable, Britney defends herself against Derrick’s damning words, while a man named :::checks notes::: Sam notes that everyone who went after Rob got murdered. (Hey, where there’s smoke, there’s fire, right?) Tom jumps right on top of the dogpile. How can they ignore thaaaat much evidence?
But Boston Rob was never one to go down without a fight, and he’s a persuasive one, at that. But let’s take a step back here. If Rob was a faithful, why wouldn’t the traitors have sniped him out by now? Why isn’t anyone talking about that?
Alan shuts down the conversation down and when the votes come in, Rob’s masterful game promptly comes to an end. After some hootin’ and hollerin’ from the faithfuls, our fashionable compère tells the six vulnerable players to head to the church: Dylan, Tom, Chrishell, Dolores, Gabby and Carolyn. One of them is about to book a flight home next to Rob. Only this time, the traitors are going to slaughter their prey face to face!
