Trader Joe’s Brand New Tasty Dessert Has Fans Searching High and Low to Find It

Odds are, you’re gearing up to host more than a few dinner parties and gatherings now that fall has officially arrived, and you’re probably in need of a few delicious recipes that require minimal effort but promise maximum payoff. We’re talking "oohs" and "aahs" from everyone in attendance, followed by the satisfying clinking of utensils on plates as guests lift forkfuls of pasta, roast chicken and scalloped potatoes to their mouths, drunk with satiated bliss.

After said mouth-watering dinner, though, following it up with an equally breathtaking dessert is a must to place the final cherry on top of the proverbial “best meal ever” sundae. And sometimes, something simple says more than an intricate 15-layer chocolate cake ever could.

Of course, when it comes to simple delights, nothing screams quiet elegance more than a creamy spoonful of dreamy panna cotta. And thanks to Trader Joe’s, you won’t even have to attempt to make your own from scratch.

In a departure from the typical delicate vanilla flavoring associated with the traditional Italian dessert, TJ’s added its own caffeinated twist on the classic, and subscribers to the dedicated Trader Joe’s-focused subreddit are giving it “two thumbs up!”

The tantalizing limited-edition Coffee Panna Cotta was originally posted by u/iamjob, and the resident foodie described the dessert as having the “flavor of tiramisu and texture of flan.” According to TJ’s website, these creamy, coffee-laced treats get a healthy dose of coffee powder added to the standard panna cotta mix and are then molded into individual foil cups lined with rich, sticky caramelized syrup.

Each pack includes two ready-to-eat individual desserts and retails for just $3.49—or about $1.75 per serving. Sounds like a small price to pay for an exquisite final curtain call for your world class, five star dinner party. While you could definitely dress these up for your guests with fresh Chantilly cream, chocolate curls and a dash of powdered sugar, we won’t tell if you whip out your trusty purse fork and dig in before you leave the parking lot. Now who do we talk to about making this a permanent offering?
