Tracker Solves Gina Picket Case in Midseason Premiere — Grade It
Colter Shaw’s white whale case has finally been solved — but TV’s Tracker didn’t necessarily get the outcome he wanted.
Sunday’s midseason premiere revealed that serial killer “The Teacher” was a man by the name of Noah Darview (played by The X-Files’ Nicholas Lea) — an anesthesiologist who worked as a traveling doctor for a locum tenens company and found his victims in several states, which made it virtually impossible for authorities to connect the dots.

When he was younger, Darview retrieved his own victims. Once he got older, he recruited “disciples” — young men like Frank Whales (Ryan Dorsey), all of whom were already registered sex offenders — to do his bidding for him. He was never at any of the crime scenes that his young, female victims disappeared from, so he was never even a suspect. It wasn’t until Colter, with an unlikely assist from Whales (R.I.P.), captured Darview and turned him over to the police that he confessed to killing Gina Picket. What’s more, he admitted where he buried all the bodies, which afforded Colter’s ex Camille (Floriana Lima) the closure she so richly deserved.
After a proper funeral, Camille told Colter that she intended to leave the country and travel the world. But she also told him that this was not goodbye — and if she ever returns, she would give him a ring. Likewise, it was time for Keaton (Brent Sexton) to hit the road. Before he and Colter parted ways, the retired cop told Shaw that he’s just a phone call away should he ever need his help on another case.
